Core is the 100% owner of the Finniss Lithium Operation, an Australian hard-rock lithium mine on the Cox Peninsula, located 88km south-west and by sealed road from the Darwin Port.

Finniss is a multi-mine operation with activities primarily focused on ramping up at the Grants open pit mine, our first operation. We are targeting a Final Investment Decision at the BP33 Underground Project, the potential second mine at Finniss, in the March quarter of 2024.

More than 500km²

The Finniss Lithium Operation is the Northern Territory’s first and only lithium mine, and Australia’s only lithium mine outside of Western Australia.

Core acquired our first landholding in the Bynoe pegmatite field in 2016 and made the first discovery at Finniss shortly after at the Grant’s deposit. In mid-2017, we published Finniss’ maiden Mineral Resource Estimate.

In less than six years since the maiden Mineral Resource, we have advanced Finniss through a Final Investment Decision, secured long term offtakes with two of the world’s largest lithium companies – Sichuan Yahua and Ganfeng Lithium – grown the Mineral Resource at Finniss, commenced mining at the Grants pit, completed construction of the operations plant and commenced production of spodumene concentrate.

Information about Resources and Reserves for the Finniss Lithium Operation are available on the Resources and Reserves page.
